FLASHFORWARD | films was started in 2000 by two graduates of UC Santa Barbara's film program, Dave Lindsay and James Plaxton. Dave pursued producing and post production while James found himself behind the camera (and occasionally in front of it!)

Throughout college the two produced numerous short-form programs on both DV and 16mm film. Each project had the goal of entertaining the viewer without succumbing to the cliched style of pretentious, independent filmmaking.

In trying to keep their productions light-hearted and accessible by a diverse audience, they have received some acclaim. Most recently, "Rattlesnake Jake" took top-prize for Best Music Video at the 2005 Bluegrass Independent Film Festival in Kentucky.

In 2004, FLASHFORWARD moved down the coast to Los Angeles where "Bakersfield Ninjas" and "Bus Pirates" were produced as pilots for an Internet television network.
